For those wanting to build community and share their awesomeness you gotta know about Vancouver Foundation’s Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG). Neighbourhood Small Grants is Vancouver Foundation’s unique program to help build community and strengthen connections right where people live. How does that relate to crafting with crap? That’s how I help build community connections by creating a fun space for people to meet, craft together and feel part of a community. And it’s all supported by a grant.

I’ve also been on the Resident Advisory Board helping give out grants.

For grant recipients and advisory board members each year Vancouver Foundation hosts the Neighbourhood Small Grants Summit. I was asked to present my project at one of the summits. It’s a truly inspiring event hearing about other projects, meeting kewl peeps and sharing your success stories.
